Ted Nugent: What gun problem?

Rocker Ted Nugent says the president couldn’t be more wrong when it comes to guns in America.

“There is not a gun problem in this country,” Nugent said, sitting in Republican Rep. Steve Stockman’s office Tuesday.

The Friendswood congressman invited the outspoken conservative and gun-rights advocate to attend tonight’s State of the Union address as his guest.

A Stockman aide said Nugent was been booked with back-to-back interviews since arriving in Washington around 3 p.m. Tuesday. The phone was ringing so much, the office was automatically forwarding calls to an answering service.

Nugent, clad in a camo cowboy hat and matching waterproof boots, asserted to one reporter after another that more guns in the hands of Americans would mean less crime. And fewer guns would mean more violence.
